     Delegates Perdue and Kinsey move to amend the bill on page six, section eleven, beginning on line three, by inserting a new subsection (i) to read as follows:

    (i) Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary, a private landfill that closed before the effective date of the reenactment of this section in 2014 that is conveyed to a county economic development entity after the effective date of the reenactment of this section in 2014, is eligible for funds from the Closure Cost Assistance Fund necessary to complete its closure upon the filing of appropriate application. Upon the filing of an appropriate application, the Department of Environmental Protection shall work with the applicant to ensure the application meets the department’s requirements. For purposes of this section, the term “county economic development entity” refers to a county economic development authority established pursuant to article twelve, chapter seven of this code or if a county does not have a county economic development authority established pursuant to article twelve, chapter seven of this code, an entity designated by resolution of the county commission of the county as the lead entity for economic development activities for the purpose of encouraging economic development in the county which entity may be, but is not limited to being, redevelopment authorities created pursuant to article eighteen, chapter sixteen of this code; county economic development corporations; and regional economic development councils, corporations or partnerships.
